Frank & Wyn Ambler returned to Ayton to celebrate their Golden Wedding

Hugh Colwell's inauguration as AOSA president in June 1990. Hugh pictured with Gillian Haslam - retiring President after her year in office 1989-90.

Frank (1939-44) & Wyn Ambler returned to Ayton to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary - here pictured on the steps of Ayton Meeting House on 16th September 2000.

Congratulations from us all - and many more anniversaries to follow.

Mike Adam - Dick Dennis - and John Findlay

Michael Adam (1944-54) - who lives in New Zealand - sent this photo of L to R - himself, Dick Dennis, and John Findlay, taken by his mother in about 1947.

Michael had heard the sad news of John Findlay's untimely death 16th August 2001. John was at Ayton from 1946-52 and had lived for many years in East Anglia. Mike and Barbara Adam were in regular touch with John and had visited him on his last visit to UK.

John Findlay will be much missed by all who remember him.

The photo - right - is of Eric Chart (1922-26) with his family: daughter Pat, son-in-law Colin and his wife Ella.

Eric lived in Western Australia and regularly corresponded with Area 13 Rep - Arthur Grainge. Sadly, Eric died in 2002.
